Company History

The company can track its success to the energy and vision of its founder, Raymond P. Delio, long at the forefront of efforts to transform program management in the high-tech and renewable energy industries.

Through the last three decades, Raymond Delio has earned a reputation for delivering on innovative and pivotal new technology projects – first in the Northeastern US, and now for renewable energy and high-tech projects world-wide.

In a history punctuated by numerous milestones, below we detail those critical to guiding the company along the path to today’s R.P. Delio & Company.

  • June 2014: R. P. Delio & Co becomes the official partner in Hawaii for UGE, the leading Small Wind turbine manufacturer.
  • May 2014: New head-office and Waypoint ™ Network Center opens in Hawaii
  • Spring 2013: Work starts on a ground-breaking project, utilizing the Waypoint Power ™ platform, to deploy a clean energy solution to Palmyra Atoll, a globally-important research station run by The Nature Conservancy.
  • Aug 2012: Consultancy service reorganized, and incorporated as R.P. Delio & Company, Inc., a Hawaii S Corporation
  • Feb 2012: Begins project development in Northern India, and adds both large and small wind generation to the list of core experience. 
  • Jan 2012: Named Program Manager for the Hawaiian Electric Companies' (HECO, MECO, HELCO) Inter-island Renewable Energy Network program to connect Hawaii’s power sources across the state and with the operational flexibility to integrate 40% of the states energy demand using renewable energy.

  • Dec 2011: South Pacific growth strategy launched
  • 2011: Named Director of Engineering at SunDurance Engineering, LLC, focusing on utility scale solar EPC and O&M
  • 2009-2010: Responsible for smart grid and T&D rehabilitation as program manager at United Illuminating Company
  • 2008: Awarded Program Manager role for renewable energy with Energy & Power Solutions, delivering national ESCO services. Develops and installs first and second ever microturbine biogas cogeneration system in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • 2006: Honored with program manager role at Industrial Design and Construction and later Electronics and Advanced Technology at CH2M Hill
  • 2005: Takes on advanced engineering process development at Philips Semiconductors, later renamed NXP Semiconductors
  • 2002: Palmer Entertainment Group reorganized as Arizona C Corp to focus on professional engineering consultancy

  • 1994: With a growing reputation for excellence, Palmer Entertainment Group produces events across NY, DC, MA, RI, CT, ME, NJ
  • 1991: The Palmer Entertainment Group was formed, to focus on event production, electrical backup power and show control automation markets
  •  1989: Mr R.P. Delio joins the Delio family-owned sole proprietorship providing electrical and mechanical contracting services
